🦵🏼Anterior Knee pain

Here is a patient example:

The patient (16 yrs) had undergone a growth spurt and had bilateral anterior knee pain. Imaging showed no major abnormalities (except for mild irritation of the patellar tendon bilaterally). One knee was more painful than the other – here the examination also showed: a slight weakness in the lateral comparison of the quadriceps strength measurement and pain in the attachment area of the tendon (below the kneecap).

Here you can see a few exercises from her individual training program:

1️⃣ Formore coordination / learn to keep the knee stable during exercises:

  • “Step Over” straight
  • “Step Over” oblique

2️⃣ For muscle building:

  • Box Squats
  • Hyperextensions with a focus on hamstrings (leg curls didn’t feel good in the knee, so we started with knees unmoving during hamstrings exercises).
  • (not in the video: Leg Extensions – Hip Thrusts)
