GERIATRICS – FIT IN OLD AGE

Many things change over the years – including our bodies. Mobility, strength and balance decline and everyday life can become more challenging. But age does not mean standing still. Quite the opposite: with targeted physiotherapeutic support, quality of life can be maintained – and often even improved – into old age.

In geriatric physiotherapy, the focus is on the individual with all their abilities and needs. We promote what is there and work on what seems to have been lost – with the aim of maintaining and strengthening independence, safety and enjoyment of life.

Our focus in the field of geriatrics:

  • Maintaining & promoting mobility, balance & strength

  • Maintaining & promoting independence & quality of life

  • Fall prevention & gait safety

  • Training for everyday activities (e.g. standing up, walking, climbing stairs)

  • Pain therapy & exercises for osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, after operations & CO

  • Return to everyday life after illness/ bedriddenness

  • Advice for relatives & adaptation of living space

Our support is individual, empathetic and structured – with a lot of experience and patience. We accompany older people on their way to more exercise, more self-confidence and a better quality of life – step by step, at your own pace.

  • Note: Geriatric physiotherapy is also suitable for rehabilitation after hospitalization or surgery – for an active return to a self-determined everyday life as far as possible.
