🍫”Toblerone Recovery” in physiotherapy

The term comes from Louis Gifford and David Butler, two very well-known physical therapists in the field of pain research.

The point here is that a healing process almost never goes straight uphill, but there are always ups and downs.
This is especially the case with nerve pain.
A sprained ankle, for example, will usually heal much more “predictably” and also more quickly than a nerve.

However, there are actually ups and downs in any rehab process. If, for example, the pain is felt more strongly at times, this can have many causes.

However, it does not automatically mean that something has gone wrong in the process of rehabilitation or that the structure is not correct heilt❣️

But that is normal. The important thing is that it’s uphill overall geht❣️
