How does this work?

Spirometry is the gold standard of performance diagnostics when it comes to endurance sports and allows you to precisely determine your current performance level, the appropriate training zones and identify strengths and weaknesses in your endurance performance. With spirometry, a step test is carried out either on the ergometer or on the treadmill, during which the breathing gases, heart rate and the power generated (watts or speed) are measured. These values can be used to define the training zones, determine the current performance level and provide information on the distribution of the energy supply from carbohydrates and fats.
